orange sky the scent of spices through the door

Advertisements

her perfume
through the canals
of Mars

lingering warmth a dog I don’t know gives me a ball

shadows in the carpet little skulls of summer

crickets in the breeze
I decide to wait
another day

the period gets up and returns to the old peach

pink morning light
on the old pine
your whisper

orange embers other things I meant to do

the little well by your clavicle–
leaves falling already

I buy an orchid
for the spare room
melting snow
